Nutrition, water intake and exercise

Nutrition and water intake are fundamental pieces in our overall wellness. Perez Personal Training has certified fitness nutrition specialists skilled at designing and implementing a plan that fits your needs. 

We all know that staying hydrated is imperative in order to keep our body and mind functioning at its best. Yet knowing it and doing it are two different things... Our trainers will guide you in developing tools to grow and establish healthy water-drinking habits so your body continuously thanks you throughout the day.

We also must understand that nutrition is not about dieting and, generally speaking, the science of finding balance between nutrition and exercise is simple: 
- If more calories are burned than ingested, we lose weight.
- If less calories are burned than ingested, we gain weight.
- If we burn the same amount of calories that we ingest, our weight stays constant. 

There are three basic food groups: Protein, carbohydrates and fats. A balanced nutritional plan includes all three basic food groups without neglecting or overdoing any of them. So, including complete lean proteins such as lean meats or fish, unsaturated fats such as avocado or extra virgin olive oil, or saturated fats, such as eggs, as long as they are cooked and portioned appropriately, and complex carbs that have a lot of fiber and a low to moderate glycemic index such as lentils, non-treated rice or broccoli is the golden key to a successful and sustainable nutritional transformation. 

Eating healthy does not have to be limiting and bland. On the contrary, a nutritional plan rich in variety, full in flavor and balanced in content will positively impact your every day life and we are here to guide you and support you, so you too can make it happen.
